Thank you for scheduling your appointment with our office and filling out the online paperwork. We look forward to assisting you with your vision needs. Please review and print this page for your records. Like many other offices, we’ve had to change how we operate for the safety of everyone who visits our office. We are fully committed to maintaining a safe, clean office so all our patients can visit worry-free. Here is our office check-in procedure on the day of your visit. If you are not feeling well, have COVID-19, awaiting results of a COVID-19 test, have had recent contact with someone who has COVID-19 or should otherwise be in quarantine please do not visit the office at this time. We can reschedule your appointment when you are feeling better or otherwise do not need to be quarantined. When you arrive to our office you may walk right into the building without calling first. Masks will be required when entering the building. A digital sign-in kiosk is at the right of our door. Please sign in at the kiosk and we will let you in the office at your appointment time. The office door will be locked from the inside to maintain a safe capacity. While waiting in the foyer, please keep your mask on, stay a minimum six feet away from other people in the foyer and please stay at least six feet away from the office door so people can safely enter and leave the office. Hand sanitizer will be made available in the office. For everyone’s safety surfaces, equipment, frames, etc.are disinfected after patient use. Please do not be offended if you see us doing so after you- we do this for everybody including ourselves. You will have an opportunity after your exam to try on frames in our office but you can also browse our inventory before your visit by going to our website www.palmeroptical.com or by clicking here. There is even a place at the site where you can request to have a particular frame(s) ready for you when you come in for your exam. Contact lenses may also be ordered through our website with a valid prescription. We ask all scheduled appointments that you do not bring visitors to the office with you at this time. The only exceptions to this request will be for someone who provides essential physical assistance for the patient or a parent/guardian who is escorting a patient who is a minor. All other visitors will be asked to remain outside the office. Only those with a scheduled appointment for any service will be allowed entry to the office at this time. All services (exam, ordering eyewear, adjustments, picking up eyewear, etc.) require a scheduled appointment at this time. Those without an appointment will not be permitted entry. Masks must be worn at this time. If you cannot/will not wear a mask for any reason, please schedule your appointment for another time when masks will not be required. Please be considerate to other patients and be prompt to your appointment. Our schedule does not allow for late-arriving patients. Dr. Pelosi performs a comprehensive eye examination which includes dilating the pupils. This is a very important part of the health evaluation. Dilation of pupils may cause increased light sensitivity and difficulty in focusing with distance and near vision. A temporary pair of sunglasses will be provided to you if you don’t have a current pair. It is encouraged to have a driver if you believe that dilation would impair your driving. You may also choose to decline to have your pupils dilated but please note that due to the pandemic and the issues it has caused with our schedule that we currently cannot schedule dilations on a different day independent of your exam. We look forward to your visit! Sincerely,
