We are extremely proud of our team members at Poindexter Dental.  They exemplify excellence and determination in their lives and their vocation.  We want to highlight our two top notch Dental Hygienists, Barry Nguyen and Kester Burnette.

Barry Nguyen has been with us for more than ten years. He recently participated in a milestone fitness challenge that is not for the faint of heart. The J&J 100k Ultra Marathon that was held September 30^th is a race through the rocky trails in the Texas Hill Country.  It is challenging for any athlete; it takes determination and willpower to finish. Barry was up for the challenge and finished the race in 23 hours and 23 minutes.

Barry brings the same willpower and determination to Poindexter Dental. He delivers oral hygiene services for patients of all ages with a style of care that is accommodating.  His efficiency and chair side humor is frequently mentioned by his patients, who enjoy their treatment with him. 

His generosity of spirit is exemplified by his recent Honeymoon trip to Viet Nam with his wife, Thuy.  While they were there they visited orphanages, donated supplies and supplied special meals for the children.

Kester Burnette has been with Poindexter Dental for over 10 years. He began his career as a dental assistant, and excelled to become our latest Hygienist. He worked his way to acceptance at Houston Community College's Dental Hygiene School (only 15 applicants out of 300 are accepted).  He graduated at the top of his class, winning the Golden Scaler award for excellence!

Kester was determined and his perseverance has paid off. His relationship with his patients is exemplary and their appreciation for him is always notable. Kester hails from the Island Nation of Dominica that was recently ravaged by Hurricane Maria. His mother’s home and business sustained significant wind damage. Kester’s Mother has been sheltering with her church until repairs are made. It spite of these challenges Kester continues to care for his patients, demonstrating grace under difficult circumstances! News Update: Kester was able to speak with his Mother for the first time since the storm today! He reports she has been doing well and is in the process of repairing  her home and business.
